The Asia-Pacific Tennis League (ATL) is a league for professional and semi-professional tennis players across Australia and reaching into the Asia-Pacific region. The league was piloted in 2011 and conducted in South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia. In 2012, the league is expanding and will include a combined conference in New South Wales and ACT.
More information on the ATL will be released over the coming weeks. But for now, interested players and clubs should note as follows –
The ATL is an exciting competition and offers players an opportunity to earn some additional prize-money whilst competing in a high energy and competitive format. The competition is seen as Tennis’ response to other modified formats of organised sport. In 2011, many professional Australian players got behind the league and we hope that the same will apply in NSW/ACT in 2012.
If you have any questions on the ATL please direct them to our Tournaments & Competition team at Tennis NSW on 1800 15 30 40 or visit www.tennis.com.au/competitions/national-tennis-league.
Stay tuned for more information on player nominations, club / team nominations over the coming weeks!
