NSW juniors wins doubles titles in Malaysia

Congratulations to Joey Swaysland and Abbie Myers from NSW who recently won the boys and girls doubles at the Sarawak Junior ITF G1 Championships in Sarawak, Malaysia.

Swaysland and his partner Luke Saville from SA, defeated Jaden Grinter, NZL and Jeson Patrombon, PHI, in straight sets 6-4 6-3.

Meyers and her partner Ashleigh Barty, QLD, defeated Anna Danilina KAZ and Yuliya Lysa, UKR. The first set was closely fought but Meyers and Barty broke their opponents to win 7-5 .They then gathered momentum to win the second set and the set 6-2.

Both Swaysland and Meyers are now competing in the Mitsubishi Lancer Junior Championships in Manila, Philippines. Good luck to Joey as he has made the boys singles quaterfinals.
