Australia have qualified for the ITF World Junior Tennis Finals after beating India 3-0 in the semifinals of the Asia / Oceania Final Qualifying event in Thailand.

The Australian boys grabbed an early advantage when Casey Hoole edged a titanic tussle with Divesh Gahlot which lasted almost three hours. Hoole saved two match points in the deciding set, before eventually prevailing 6-4 6-7(5) 7-5.

Philip Sekulic has won all five of his matches this week, and made it six from six after seeing off Sandeep Mohan Dass 6-2 6-1.

Sekulic and Edward Vo then added further gloss to the scoreline when they won the doubles rubber 7-6(3) 6-2.

With four teams qualifying for the ITF World Junior Tennis Finals, held in August in Czech Republic, Australia have already assured their place by reaching the semifinals, where they will meet China.
