Top seed Andy Murray has beaten Bernard Tomic in the quarterfinals of the Cincinnati Masters.

Murray overcame the Aussie 6-4 6-4 to set up a semifinal showdown with Milos Raonic, who ousted Dominic Thiem in straights.

Tomic had enjoyed a breakthrough week in Ohio, upsetting David Goffin and Kei Nishikori en route to the last eight at a Masters event for the third time in his career.

Murray is undefeated since reuniting with coach Ivan Lendl; the Scot has won titles at Queen’s, Wimbledon and the Rio Olympics, and now owns a 21-match winning streak.
