Nick Kyrgios blew up Twitter this week with one of his best career wins thus far, upsetting his childhood hero Roger Federer.

The support that followed made Twitter headlines.

However, what was even more impressive was Todd Woodbridge’s prediction of the result.

When Todd wasn’t predicting, he was pampering a select group of special women at the Crown Resorts Mother’s Day luncheon.

Ajla Tomljanovic was quoting Taylor Swift during the week, celebrating her 22nd birthday.

The life of a tennis player requires tumultuous travel and unfortunately fires at airports can have a major impact.

For the record, Thanasi and James did not make it to Rome.

On a brighter note, our tennis players celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday which resulted in a collective Twitter ‘Awwwwww’

Matt Barton even got into the spirit of #pinksportsday to raise breast cancer awareness.

Doubles also proved a winner this week, with Casey Dellacqua taking out the doubles title in Madrid and Priscilla Hon a victor in Italy.

In that same doubles spirit, Rennae Stubbs was reflecting on that time when she partnered up with Serena Williams.

Jacob Grills was also winning…

While Matt Reid’s chair umpire was definitely not winning…

Twitter gave us an insight this week into what players might be when they retire:

Sub-editor Thanasi? Andy Murray approves…

Or perhaps chef Daria Gavrilova?

Finally it wouldn’t be a ‘Social Serve’ without an obligatory #selfie. This week’s winner: Mark Philippoussis
