Sam Stosur has won through to the final of the Wimbledon mixed doubles event with Serbian partner Nenad Zimonjic.

Stosur and Zimonjic, the 15th seeds, ousted No.16 seeds Aisam Qureshi of Pakistan and Russian Vera Dushevina 7-5 6-2 on Saturday at the All England Club.

The Aussie-Serb pairing were cruising at a set and a break up when rain began to fall, suspending the match at 4-2 in the second set.

When they returned to court, they quickly won two more games to cement their place in Sunday’s final.

There they will face 14th seeds Max Mirnyi of Belarus and Hao-Ching Chan of Chinese Taipei.

Stosur will contest her second Wimbledon mixed doubles final; the first came in 2008 when she triumphed with American Bob Bryan.
