Casey Dellacqua and Olivia Rogowska have moved through to the final round of qualifying at the prestigious BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California on Monday.

Dellacqua, the world No.78 and fourth seed in qualifying, defeated Georgian Anna Tatishvili in her opening match.

The West Australian overcame a dip in the second set to post a 6-3 4-6 6-1 win in one-and-three-quarter hours andĀ faces a second match against either Brit Johanna Konta or Petra Martic in a bid for a main draw berth.

Earlier, fellow Aussie Olivia Rogowska upset 10th seed Olga Govortsova 6-3 6-4.

Rogowska, from Melbourne, completed victory in one hour and 15 minutes and produced tidy stats including four aces to one double fault and an impressive first-serve percentage of 75.

The 130th-ranked Rogowska will battle Hungarian veteran Melinda Czink, who ousted 18th seed Hsieh Su-Wei of Taiwan in three sets.

Anastasia Rodionova, who was awarded a wildcard into the qualifying draw, lost 4-6 6-4 6-4 in her first match againstĀ No.22 seed Alison Van Uytvanck of Belgium.

The Indian Wells event is a combined ATP/WTA tournament offering a prize purse of roughly US$12 million.

The men’s qualifying draw and men’s and women’s main draws are still to be released.
