Two New South Welshmen will battle in the Sydney Olympic Park Tennis International #1 final after Greg Jones and Jordan Thompson both shone through in their respective semifinal matches on Friday.

No.7 seed Thompson exacted revenge for the semifinal loss he suffered to fourth seeded South Australian Alex Bolt at the Cairns Pro Tour stop three weeks ago; Bolt served for the first set at 6-5 yet from that point on it was all Thompson as he ran away with the match 7-6(2) 6-0.

Jones shook off Thursday’s near exit by dominating third seeded Adam Feeney of New South Wales from start to finish.

Feeney seemed to be struggling from the countless weeks of travel and match play over the past four weeks, succumbing to the top-seeded Jones 6-4 6-1.

Saturday’s final will kick off from 11am at the Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre, with Thompson looks to secure his third ITF title of the season – and second in a row – while Jones contests his first ITF Pro Tour final since early 2010.
