Bernard Tomic will look to reach the last 32 of the US Open for the first time ever when he plays his second round match on Thursday.

Instead of facing the No.11 seed Kei Nishikori, the 20-year-old finds himself up against British qualifier Daniel Evans, who upset the Japanese talent in straight-sets in the opening round.

Other Aussies in action in New York on Day 4 will be eighth seeds Ash Barty and Casey Dellacqua, as well as John Peers and Anastasia Rodionova, who will each take to the courts of Flushing Meadows in their respective doubles events.
