> Kyrgios ready for French Open

On Sunday, three Aussies were in action and unfortunately all went down to their respective opponents.

Lleyton Hewitt battled for five sets and four-and-a-half hours before succumbing to 15th seed Gilles Simon, while Marinko Matosevic was gallant despite his tough draw against No.4 seed David Ferrer.

Qualifier James Duckworth fell in straight sets to Slovene Blaz Kavcic.

The remainder of the Aussie contingent – Sam Stosur, Bernard Tomic and Ash Barty – will play their opening round matches at Roland Garros on Tuesday.
