Viktorija Rajicic has continued her rapid rise up the WTA rankings, this week jumping 65 places to world No.314.

A day after turning 19, Rajicic moves to a career-best ranking, the result of her win at the $25,000 ITF Pro Tour event in Bundaberg the week before last being counted in her points tally.

Rajicic began the season ranked outside the world’s top 400.

Also enjoying a surge was the ever-improving Storm Sanders, who moved up 36 places to sit on the brink of a top 300 ranking at No.306.

Sanders reached the semifinals of the Bundaberg event before being stopped by Rajicic in three sets.

On the men’s side, the notable improver was James Duckworth, who rose 21 places on the ATP World Tour rankings this week to sit at No.202.

Duckworth triumphed in the men’s event at the Bundaberg Tennis International, beating defending champion Jason Kubler in the final.

Youngster Jordan Thompson, aged 18, jumped 29 spots to No.660 after reaching the quarterfinals at the same tournament, a career-high for the Sydneysider.
