As the Australian Open Junior Championships heats up at Melbourne Park this week, it’s worth noting that both the girls’ and boys’ singles finals will be played at Rod Laver Arena this Saturday, January 26, starting at 1pm – prior to the women’s singles final.

For these matches, Rod Laver Arena will be open to anyone with a valid ticket for the day, so at only $29.00 for a ground pass on Saturday, you can have seats to watch two finals inside the arena. Of course, anyone with women’s singles final ticket is also entitled to their seat for both junior singles finals.

For Australian fans, new world No.1 junior Nick Kyrgios from the ACT is in scintillating form and looks every bit the favourite this week, so the opportunity to see him attempt to keep the boys’ title in Australia after Luke Saville’s victory last year may indeed become a reality.

Sixteen-year-old rising star Thanasi Kokkinakis also remains in the boys’ draw and has already captured Australia’s attention when he made Fernando Verdasco work hard to get past him during the Hopman Cup in Perth.

In the girls’ draw, young Aussies Danielle Wagland and Olivia Tjandramulia had early wins and are making their presence felt.

With previous winners of the Australian Open junior title including Stefan Edberg, Andy Roddick, Marcus Baghdatis, Victoria Azarenka and many more – however it turns out for the locals – this is a fabulous opportunity to watch the tennis world’s stars of the future in action.
