The 2012 Optus 18s Australian Doubles Champions have been decided with Nick Kyrgios and Bradley Mousley taking out the boys’ title while Priscilla Hon and Olivia Tjandramulia claimed the girls’ crown.

Second seeds Kyrgios and Mousley defeated Thanasi Kokkinakis and Jack Schipanski 6-4 3-6 [10-7] after the final was forced into a deciding match tiebreaker.

Three of the four competitors in the boys final were fresh from playing in the boys’ semifinals earlier today but that did not hinder the quality of the tennis on show.

Meanwhile Hon and Tjandramulia caused an upset over second seeds Lizette Cabrera and Brooke Rischbieth 6-2 6-1.

Fourteen-year-old Hon has had a dream run at the 18s Championships this week, beating No.1 seed Azra Hadzic before playing off in a semifinal in the singles main draw.
