The draw for the Paralympic tennis event has been held at the Olympic Park at Eton Manor.

The news was mostly good for the Australians with all team members avoiding the top seeds in the opening round.

Janel Manns, however, may be counting herself unlucky being drawn to play second seed Aniek Van Koot in the first round of the women’s singles event.

Sixth-seeded Australian Dani Di Toro fared much better, being drawn to face unseeded Colombian Angelica Bernal Villalobos.

In the men’s draw, Ben Weekes will face unseeded Spaniard Francesc Tur Blanch, while Adam Kellerman will take on unseeded Swede Peter Vikstrom.

In the men’s doubles, Weekes and Kellerman will play Polish duo Albin Batycki and Kamil Fabisiak. While the Australian women, Di Toro and Manns, will take on Thai pair Sakhorn Khanthasit and Ratana Techamaneewat.

The singles event gets underway on Saturday 1 September and concludes on Saturday 8 September. The men’s doubles begins on 2 September, while the women’s doubles starts on 3 September.
