Casey Dellacqua has won her third-consecutive ITF tournament on home soil while Queensland’s Ben Mitchell his third for the year at Esperance.

Dellacqua, the third seed, proved too strong for second-seeded countrywoman Olivia Rogowska in the final, winning in straight sets 6-2 6-1.

The win in Esperance follows triumphs in Darwin and Cairns as Dellacqua gathers momentum with the Australian summer looming.

Dellacqua’s ranking has improved to No.205 in the world.

Mitchell also faced a fellow Australian in the men’s final, defeating second seed Matt Reid 6-1 6-4.

The top seed in Esperance, Mitchell only dropped one set for the week, during his semifinal stoush with third seed Brydan Klein.

The Australian Pro Tour now moves to Kalgoorlie for the Gold Fields St Ives Tennis International.
