Bernard Tomic’s Wimbledon preparations are on track, with the Queenslander reaching the semifinals of a grass court ATP Challenger tournament in Nottingham.

Tomic easily accounted for compatriot Marinko Matosevic 6-1 6-2 in the quarterfinals at the AEGON Trophy event.

Ranked 180th in the world, Tomic was a first round casualty at the French Open, but is relying on his strong grass court form in the lead up to Wimbledon which starts on June 20.

The 18-year-old will play big-serving Gilles Muller of Luxembourg in the semis after he downed West Australian Matt Ebden 5-7 6-4 6-3.

Tomic will next head to the ATP event in Halle and then the Wimbledon qualifiers which begin on June 13.
