Forrest Tennis Club

Social Tennis

The club runs social tennis on:

  • Wednesday evenings from 7:30pm until around 10pm and
  • Sunday afternoons from 1pm until about 4:30pm.

No need to advise, just turn up at the times specified. We play double sets of 8 games (2 serves per player). Afterwards, stick around as we unwind over nibbles and drinks (BYO).

Social tennis is suitable for players who are able to serve and maintain a rally. Therefore social tennis is not suitable for beginner level players. If uncertain you can drop by social to gauge the standard and try out.  There is generally a committee member present who can advise. Beginners can always arrange for lessons with our club coaches to improve their game to the minimum standard. Group lessons are also a good way to meet players of a similar standard.

Fees for Members:

Wednesday evening:
$4.00 per member (includes ball fees & lights)
Sunday afternoon:
$2.00 per member (includes ball fees)

Social Tennis for the Older Folk and Veterans

Veteran Social Tennis is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11.30am – 2.00pm at Forrest Tennis Club.  Players who enjoy mid week social tennis are invited to come along.   Serious players can join in for some fun, players with injuries can join in for some gentle tennis and recent players to the game can come along to hone their skills and get some games in.
This not a bash and smash! – it’s about enjoying a mid week game of tennis.  A small monthly fee of $2 covers new balls (members).
