It’s an opportunity to attend a forum to have your voice heard about local issues affecting all aspects of tennis and contribute to finding solutions. The key objectives of the Local Advisory Groups (LAGs) are to provide a forum for all coaches to:
Each state/territory will have a core group of representatives from metro and regional areas who will act as the voice for the full group/forum. From this group a chairperson will be appointed who will represent their state/territory on the National Coaching Advisory Group (NCAG). If an issue or challenge arises in your area, you can call on one of the LAG representatives to discuss.

Nominations for new LAG representative terms are now open from 20 April 2012. Applications will close 4 May 2012. Coach members will be notified via CoachesWorld e-newsletter of nominations, voting and appointment processes.
All LAG representatives must meet the following criteria:
Any tennis coach or persons involved in tennis in the community may attend the workshop this may include council representatives, club delegates or committee members.

Tennis Australia developed the National Coaching Advisory Group (NCAG) to act as the independent voice of the coach.

In 2008 Tennis Australia distributed a coaching census that was completed by 680 coaches nationwide. The census provided a mouthpiece for Australian coaches, highlighting key roles, activities at tennis facilities and schools, professional development needs and your requirements from a coach membership program.
