There are lots of ways to promote tennis at a local level to get people of all ages to play, play more often and keep them involved in the game of tennis.
You can market your local club or coaching business and its activities through advertising in local newspapers and at schools, letterbox drops, generating publicity through leveraging your local media, utilising online mediums, such as a website and an e-newsletter, and a range of other ways.
Your aim is to achieve positive media coverage. It is important that local clubs and coaches build relationships with local media in order to generate their own media publicity. While media coverage is never guaranteed we hope the guide: ‘Working with the Media‘ will assist you in gaining increased exposure in your local area. It is geared to help you understand what media is, how it works and how you can better promote your club, service, program or event through a variety of media channels. The Tennis Australia Communications Department are also available to assist you in proofing and editing potential media releases. Contact details are available within the guide.
