* The National Court Rebate Scheme has closed for 2011–12. We will accept applications for 2012–13 from July 2012.
Tennis Australia is proud to continue the National Court Rebate Scheme (NCRS) for a fifth consecutive year. The NCRS assists member affiliates and local government to develop new tennis courts or upgrade old courts and associated infrastructure.
In just four years, the scheme has proven to be a resounding success in stimulating more than 1000 new or resurfaced courts and considerable investment in the sport across Australia. The NCRS has also acted as a catalyst for all tennis and government stakeholders to form partnerships and better plan for the provision of strategically located networks of community tennis centres. We look forward to continuing this success over the next twelve months and beyond.
Tennis Australia has committed to continuing the multi-million dollar National Court Rebate Scheme with the aim of stimulating court growth and improving facilities around the country. More than $6 million has been committed over the past two years.
The scheme will continue to offer more than $2 million annually for the next three years. Tennis Australia’s member affiliates are invited to submit applications for funding to develop or upgrade court surfaces and associated infrastructure.
The tiered-level funding is in line with Tennis Australia’s surface policy, which supports the four Grand Slam surface types.
Clubs can apply for funding in base preparation and development, lighting, surface or resurfacing, fencing, water saving and ancillary items.
Applicants may also wish to consider a facility loan as part of the total financial package to ensure the project has the capacity to be resourced properly.
