The Tennis NSW Premier League is the brand that encapsulates the new competition structure for NSW.
The Tennis NSW Premier League consists of 2 pathways:
These 2 pathways both progress through a number of representative playoff levels and culminate in the City vs Country Premier League final which is to be played at the Medibank International in January 2012.
City Premier League Pathway: consists of Sydney Autumn Badge and the NSW Hardcourt Inter-District competitions. The best 6 men & 6 women from each of these competitions; as selected by the organising committees from their results, will play off as representatives of their competitions in later 2013. The playoffs will be used to select the best 4 men and 4 women who will progress through to the City vs Country Premier League final at Homebush in January 2014.
Country Premier League Pathway: The concept is to emulate and further develop the successful model used in the running of the Sydney Competitions by connecting country tennis competitions with a strong brand, to be named Country Pennant, and create a competition pathway for country players through brand recognition that will strengthen over time. A representative country team will be selected to compete in the City vs Country final at Homebush in January 2014.
