Kambah Tennis Club has taken back to back titles in Division 1 of the Spring Junior Pennant competition. This is the second consecutive junior pennant win for the club, after the team claimed the Autumn pennant Division 1 crown earlier this year.

Kambah team members, Patrick Roche, Marius van Rensburg and Aiden Battison were proud to receive their champions trophies for a second time this year.

The competition came to an end after 67 teams and 9 Divisions competed from September to December.

Competition organiser, Brittany Hughes, said conditions were tough during the finals but all teams played well.

“All players battled it out like young professionals this season, with some big plays and long rallies,” she said.

“The junior pennant competition is a great way for kids to get active in a friendly team environment, improve their tennis skills and have some fun at the same time.”

Division 7 had some long tie-break sets, while division 6 delivered the closest match, going to three sets all and a count back on games.

Congratulations to all participants.
