Players from the ACT have posted strong performances at the MIA Open in Griffith and the Elders Insurance South Coast Open in Batemans Bay.

At the MIA Open, Tallulah Farrow live up to her number 1 seeding winning the Open Women’s singles in convincing fashion going through the tournament without losing a set.  She then combined with Sheree Moore to take out the Open Women’s doubles.  In the Open Men’s doubles, Brett Lennard and Jake Okines made it through to the final before going down to Lewis Ahern and Brandon Vescio.

In the junior events, Alyssa Simoncini won the 12 Girls singles, defeating fellow Canberra player Ellie Koundouris in the semis. Ellie combined with Camila Felix-Vonarx to defeat Alyssa and Chloe Koundouris in the 12 girls doubles final.

The South Coast Open at Bateman’s Bay offered Silver AMT points. Imogen Clews made the semi finals of AMT Women’s Singles, before going down to eventual winner Sonja Balic, 7-6 in the third set. In the Men’s doubles, Yuki Okamoto and Alex de Jong made the semi finals, while in the mixed doubles, Nelson Parker and Madelyne Czubara defeated Alex de Jong and Leah Williamson.

Congratulations to Canberra’s Alex Nancarrow who won the singles and doubles title at the ITF event in Prokuplje, Serbia. The win was Alex’s second ITF title.
