Kaleen and Districts Tennis Club

A Club Professional Coaching Course will be held in Canberra in 2015, the first time the course has been held in the nation’s capital for 8 years.  The course is set to commence in March and conclude in November and also includes a Certificate IV in Sports Coaching.

Details about the course include

  • The course is 24 days long.
  • 6 blocks of 4 days at a time
  • Many sessions are designed to finish at 2.30pm to allow local coaches the opportunity to coach in the afternoon
  • Starts March, ends November
  • Approximately 40% Business, 60% coaching
  • Cert IV in Sports Coaching
  • All to be held at the new Canberra Tennis Centre
  • First ‘Club Pro’ to be held in Canberra for EIGHT years (2007)
  • Facilitated by International speaker Emma Doyle
  • Cost $2,490

Prospective candidates should be coaching full time in a club or academy environment, be Junior Development Qualified and have many years’ experience.  You will need to have access to intermediate club players for assessments and assignments.  Most of all, candidates should have an open mind and have a desire to learn and develop their skills as a coach both on and off court.
