4 August 2014 | Tennis ACT

Tennis in the ACT has enjoyed great success on the world stage over the past few months.

Part of this success has been ACT umpire’s selections for international events, including Wimbledon, Manchester, Fiji, US Open and the upcoming Youth Olympics in China.

“It is such an amazing privilege to have opportunities to officiate at different tournaments across the world”, says Emma Walter, who recently returned from officiating in the UK, including Wimbledon.

“The tennis community is so strong here in the ACT and it is so wonderful to be part of it.”

There are many ways you can get involved as a tennis official – whether that’s getting out on the lines or being up in a chair to helping out off-court at a local tournament.
