• Entry fee must be paid prior to competition starting or you will not be eligible to compete in your chosen Turbo Tennis competition. The entry fee includes Tennis ACT Player Registration. All players must be registered with Tennis ACT in order to participate. As part of registration players are covered by Tennis ACT’s public liability and personal accident insurance.
• If the player is unable to play their Turbo Tennis match, it is the player’s responsibility to arrange a substitute player. If a substitute player cannot be found you must contact Tennis ACT to organise a substitute, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required. (a substitute list will be provided if available)
• All players must arrive 15 min before their match to collect balls, score sheets and start warm up
• As this form of competition is time-based all players are required to arrive on time for scheduled matches
• Every ten (10) minutes a player is late that player/team will be penalised 2 games to the opposing team
• If a player is more than 45 minutes late, all effected sets are forfeited
• If both players are not present within 30 minute of the scheduled start time all sets will be forfeited and your attendance points will not count
• The host venue supervisor will indicate the start and finish of each set with a whistle (similar to a football match). Play should commence immediately to avoid any delays. Thirty (30) minutes is allocated for each set.
• Once the whistle has gone for the conclusion of a set, players should complete the current game to determine a result. If the game score within a set is tied, a pressure point is played to determine a set score. This pressure point will count as one (1) game to the total set score.
• Team/player grading is at the discretion of the Turbo Tennis coordinators.
• For junior Turbo Tennis, players are to be at or under the age of 17 years on the commencement date.
• The Pressure Point: if a game reaches ‘deuce’ or 6-6 all in the tie-break, players will play a deciding Pressure Point to determine the winner of that game. The receiver/returning team has the choice of which side he/she/they wish to receive the serve from;
• Players/Guardians agree that players play at their own risk.
